Conservation Efforts

In addition to advocating for our animals’ wild counterparts within our community, the Lion Habitat Ranch actively participates in the ex-situ conservation efforts in Africa. While all of our animals are able to live in the comfort of their habitat as well as being around the people who have raised them, their wild counterparts face the perils of human & animal conflict in addition to habitat loss & defragmentation. Any donations made to these organizations help with conservation abroad. The Lion Habitat Ranch donates and supports these charities listed below.

  • The World Parrot Trust helps protect parrots and the places that they live. There are threats that many parrot species face, and the World Parrot Trust is committed to safeguarding them through focused conservation efforts. By collaborating closely with researchers, local communities, and governments, the World Parrot Trust leads and supports projects that preserve habitats, combat the illegal wildlife trade, and restores endangered species to the wild. https://parrots.org/
